Key Responsibilities
- Design PLC programs according to the system description and functionality including safety programming, communication with the upper level SCADA system. Also configuration of/communication with the following: drives, scanners, barcode readers, weighing systems …etc.
- Reading/comprehending systems layouts.
- Configure PLC hardware and industrial networks [Profibus, Profinet, ASi, CAN, Ethernet … etc].
- HMI programing; using Allen Bradley factory talk view or WinCC flexible or Vijeo Designer to monitor and control different system components.
- Commissioning and Startup includes:
- Download PLC and HMI programs.
- Perform signal check from field to control panels.
- Check Emergency Zones/ESTOP functionality.
- Set-up of communication networks and gateways.
- Drives parametrization.
- Set-up Scanners and weighing systems.
- Startup the system and check the product flow for Stan-alone PLC areas and the fully integrated system.

- On-site modifications.
- Standby support.
- Provide training whenever required.
- Task assignment and review for subordinates.
Skills and Experience
- Very Good knowledge of PLC Siemens or Allen Bradley, Schneider is a plus.
- Very good knowledge of PLC programing languages (STL, FBD, LAD), Siemens SCL is a plus.
- Very good knowledge of industrial networks: Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Device Net, CAN and Asi.
- Very good knowledge of Motor control techniques: Using soft-starters or variable drives (VFD).
- Experience with field commissioning [FAT, SAT].
- Knowledge of communication drivers between PLC and HMI (Direct driver or OPC).
- Very Good knowledge of HMI software packages [AB factory talk view, Siemens WinCC flexible].
- Basic Autocad knowledge.
- Previous experience in F-Systems design.
- Knowledge of safety norms is a plus
