The Analyst primary responsibility is to support procurement teams in gathering cost information and identifying savings opportunities by conducting analysis on spend, design, and sourcing data. The candidate will work within the Procurement Resale Category management group and work closely with the Category Leads as well as cross-functional partners in Engineering, Quality, and Solution Development. In this role, the Analyst will assist Category leads from multiple Dematic sites across North America, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual savings targets for assigned category through the use of sophisticated analysis tools including cost benchmarking, best-of-best analysis, regression analysis, Linear Price Progression (LPP), and price analysis over time by supplier and sub-category
  • Collaborate with Category leads, Buyers and Procurement project leads to implement cost optimization projects
  • Develop cost driver and raw material impact analysis for assigned categories and identify cost take out opportunities; recommend pricing strategies
  • Prepare fact-based data packs for Category leads to use in negotiations
  • Assist in submitting Request for Quote (RFQ) events, bid analytics including total landed cost calculations and support in developing sourcing scenarios
  • Update savings analytics dashboards, support spend optimization projects including standardization of global MSC codes, analysis of part similarities, top spend parts, and similar activities
  • Track execution of savings opportunities through category Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance or Statistics
  • 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or Business 
  • Familiarity with purchasing and supply chain management
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel (MS Excel), and Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI and Tableau 
  • Manipulate large data sets through standard analytics software packages and applications 
  • Project Management skills 
  • Interpret drawings and technical specifications as well as relevant cost knowledge for different types of categories 
  • Self-driven individual, able to work with minimal direction to consistently look for opportunities 
  • Data consolidation & presentation skills. Ability to analyze, synthesize information from diverse sources, present findings clearly / concisely, and communicate that analysis effectively to business partners 
  • Strong communicator and ability to manage/prioritize multiple key activities simultaneously
  • Work cross-functionally in a culturally diverse environment and quickly build strong rapport and relationships with Procurement partners, including interaction with Senior Leaders and working across multiple regions/time
